Or moving the location of User MIDI folder, if possible. Try removing UAC from the User MIDI folder. Is it possible that the location designated as ‘User MIDI’ is located in a folder restricted by the Windows UAC (User Access Control)? I’m on a Mac, so I can’t test my theory for you, but I see that you’re running on a Windows PC. It is going to be annoying that every time I have to export just to make a midi file…. The rest of the program works fine but this one thing (which is the reason why I basically bought it) doesn’t work.

I just installed the program and have set nothing different. I’m not sure what settings I have different than you guys but for whatever reason it does not work. I removed the favorites star and it also did nothing. The annoying part is that now I see that all “you” guys can simply drag and drop which is very frustrating. Even after dragging I tried sync file changes and nothing is there? I’ve tried dragging it into the main “gray area” and I’ve tried dragging it into the small user file and nothing reacts. I’ve wasted hours (and I mean hours) trying to figure out why it will not simply drag and drop into the folder. I literally cannot drag anything into the user midi folder.
